Video: How to Hack Your To-Do List

The end of the year brings about a most wonderful kind of stress. In previous seasons, I’ve shared ways to cope with that stress. This time around, I’d like to share a strategy for overcoming the thing that is often responsible for that stress, our to-do lists.

This video argues that a lot of the stress we experience comes from our inability to free up our minds to focus on the things that are most important to us, whether that be a pressing deadline at work, or simply getting the house cleaned up before family arrives for the holidays.

To do this, David Allen, author of “Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity“, shares the four steps of his system:

  1. Write it down
  2. Clarify
  3. Park the results
  4. Review the lists
