Today was my first day in my new role as an HR Strategic Process Manager at H-E-B.
The last few weeks have been quite the whirlwind, as I accepted this role and worked to close out my nine years of service at the Alamo Colleges.
All of the anticipation built up over the last three weeks came to a close today as I finally got to walk through the gates of the H-E-B corporate campus as an employee, receive my name tag, and join my team for an offsite meeting.
I’m looking forward to the challenge of the next few weeks and months as I learn the ins and outs of the organization and my role in it. It will be a journey far from my norm, and far from the comfort zone I established over the last decade or so in previous roles.
I’m confident that it will be a journey well worth taking.
