Exciting news! Yesterday I passed my CPTD certification exam!
Some goals take longer than others to materialize. In the time before the pandemic (circa 2017) I had my eyes set on this certification as a means of filling in the gaps in my Talent Development experience. As the years passed, I gained more and more experience and expertise in this field. The work I did in the areas of Talent Development even began to crowd out the time I had spent in Human Resources and organizational development.
But I still wanted to follow through on my plans. And after almost two years of pandemic pause, I decided to go for it. And I’m so glad I did!
I loved the process of adding to my HR and Talent Development experience through the exam prep materials and I’m looking forward to putting what I’ve learned to good use in our profession and community. But perhaps most of all, I can’t wait to keep expanding my knowledge and skillset in these areas.
As is the case for all certifications, this is just the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning. And I can’t wait to see where it takes me.
