Carlos Escobar is an HR and Organizational Development expert. He serves as a Learning and Talent Management Specialist at the Alamo Colleges, where he focuses on helping faculty and staff implement project management, change management and process improvement solutions. He also serves as Director of College Relations for Texas SHRM, where he leads statewide efforts to support student SHRM Chapters.

He has over 15 years experience in the HR and Organizational Development arena, across multiple industries and has held numerous volunteer roles to include president of the San Antonio HR Management Association (2012) and related board positions.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BA) with concentrations in technical communication and electronic media from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). In addition, Carlos holds senior level HR certifications from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP), and Human Resources Certification Institute (SPHR). He also holds certifications in change management (Prosci) and human-centered design (IDEO).
